AIMS

The lecture will provide an introduction into the principles and practice of minimally invasive vertical tooth extraction and its application for surgical extrusion and restoration of teeth with deep subgingival lesion due to trauma or caries.

OBJECTIVES

1. understand the principles of minimally invasive vertical tooth extraction

2. identify the determinants of successful vertical tooth extraction and reasons for failure

3. appreciate how surgical extrusion can be used to predictably retain and restore teeth with deep subgingival lesions
