Good record keeping is imperative to provide information in the future to ourselves and other team members. They are also our main line of defence in the case of a complaint. With team involvement we can create good contemporaneous records to meet these requirements. Achieving this in a busy practice environment can be a challenge but one we can overcome.
- Feel confident that our records are robust by understanding current guidelines
- Understand how the whole team need to be involved in the process to support the clinicians
- Include relevant information that is useful to ourselves, our teams and will support us if a complaint is made against us.
