The Future of Dentistry - Should you be Scared?

… is the question that James Goolnik BDS MSc, President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) will be asking at the opening session of the early bird lecture series at BDTA Dental Showcase this year. James describes his lecture as a short and snappy, thought provoking look at dentistry today and tomorrow. The lecture will take place on Thursday 14 October 2010 between 10.00am and 11.00am.

The following days will see QED deliver a session on Endodontics between 09.00am and 10.00am on Friday 15 October 2010 and Professor Steven Jeffries present a lecture on the use of technology in the predictability of treatment results between 9.00am and 10.00am on Saturday 16 October 2010.

The subjects have been chosen to give you up to date practical and useful information about the latest innovations in dentistry and to provide a valuable insight into the shape of dentistry to come. Each lecture will qualify for one hour’s verified CPD, adding yet another reason not to miss the biggest dental event of the year.

Tony Reed, Executive Director of the BDTA said, “I am really pleased to be working with the BACD to bring another valuable contribution to our early bird lecture series. We are always looking for ways to enhance the Showcase experience and to provide value to our visitors and exhibitors.

The lecture theatre has proved a popular addition and I am glad to see it being used in this innovative way.” The lecture theatre has ample capacity to cope with demand so there is no need for advance booking. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so come early to get the best seats.

The early bird lectures are in addition to the programme of core cpd subjects, which will be delivered during the course of the show. Full terms and conditions and the complete lecture theatre programme can be found at www.dentalshowcase.com
