Sorrento Cooking School - Prize Draw Winner
The BDTA is delighted to announce Donald Mcleod as the lucky winner of the official Showcase 2008 prize draw with this year’s prize being a trip to the Sorrento Cooking School in Italy. Donald will be given the opportunity to cook traditional Italian cuisine and experience local delicacies in the beautiful, tranquil resort of Giardino delle Esperidi.
Visitors who had registered in advance for tickets to BDTA Dental Showcase 2008 and visited on one or more of the exhibition days could enter the draw at the BDTA Help Point just inside the entrance and thousands of entries were received.
Tony Reed, Executive Director at the BDTA, who picked the winning entry once the exhibition closed on Saturday 4 October 2008, commented, “The prize draw, which linked superbly with the ‘Recipe for Success’ theme, was another benefit of advance registration and attracted an impressive number of entries. I am sure Donald will enjoy the holiday and the opportunity not only to enjoy some delicious Italian food but also to try his hand at cooking it.”
Donald is a Dentist at Summerley Dental Practice in Bognor Regis and was surprised when he received the news. He and his wife had been to Sorrento previously and were delighted that they would be returning in the not too distant future.
The next BDTA Dental Showcase 2009 takes place at NEC, Birmingham on 12-14 November 2009.
